At Bene, we’re passionate about the little things in life that bring joy to the community.
That’s way we’re joining forces with South Australian food icon Rosa Matto to bring you a cooking class that celebrates good food and friendship as part of ZestFest this year.
The Festival which embraces ageing and turns stereotypes about getting older on their head, will see Rosa spread the joy of cooking at Bene’s Italian Village, sharing tips and tricks for making healthy and “share-worthy” meals.
You will learn to master the art gnocchi making—the classic potato gnocchi and the spinach and ricotta gnocchi—along with a tasty tomato sugo. Simple but delicious meals that are perfect for one or for many.
To emphasise companionship, a few of the participants will be invited to cook with Rosa and share their stories and love of cooking.
“Like ZestFest, we believe that growing older is no reason to stop growing,” said Bene CEO Andrew McFarlane.
“Food plays an important role in uniting communities and at Bene, we’re committed to providing lovingly prepared, freshly cooked meals to our residents every day—and that’s what this event is all about.”
