Acquisition of Woodville nursing home and change of ownership/management of Domus Operosa

Bene Aged Care is pleased to announce two major developments that will help strengthen the organisation and further underpin the exceptional aged care services we provide our residents.

Firstly, we are delighted to announce that we have acquired the Woodville Nursing Home from the Penna family, on April 1, 2015.

Woodville Nursing Home will now be known as Bene St Clair.

“The western suburbs of Adelaide have long been identified as a key growth area for us, so we’re thrilled to secure the Woodville Nursing Home and look forward to enhancing the level of care to residents through the new systems and expertise that we’ll bring,” said Bene’s CEO Mr Andrew McFarlane.

Secondly, the ownership and management of Bene Aged Care’s Domus Operosa at Burton was transferred to fellow national aged care provider Estia Health Limited on April 1, 2015 – the same day that Woodville Nursing Home was acquired.

“The acquisition of the Woodville Nursing Home and the transfer of Domus Operosa to Estia Health are both positive developments for us, which will help strengthen Bene Aged Care and further underpin the exceptional aged care services we provide,” said Mr McFarlane.

“Similarly, transferring our Burton facility to a much larger organisation in Estia Health is a great outcome, including for current residents who will benefit from the backing of a nationally recognised aged care provider with an appetite for growth.”

It’s certainly been a busy start to 2015 as Bene Aged Care continues to work hard to further enhance the services we provide our residents and families, and as we continue to evolve our high quality offering to culturally and linguistically diverse communities in South Australia.
