The Foundation

Bene Aged Care is a not-for-profit organisation governed by an honorary board of management and is fully owned by the Italian Benevolent Foundation SA. Founded in 1974 by a small group of local doctors, business owners and community leaders, the Foundation’s vision was to provide quality aged care that fostered the unique cultural, spiritual and social needs of those in their community. From these Italian roots, the Foundation’s vision has evolved to expand its quality aged care services to the wider community.

More than 45 years later, the Foundation continues to celebrate its heritage and remains committed to the notion that there is no greater privilege than being able to bring joy to older people in our communities through independence and wellbeing so that everyone can enjoy life to the fullest.

Ways to give

With the generous support of the community, the Foundation works to raise funds that enhance the delivery of high-quality care and services provided by Bene’s compassionate team of staff and volunteers.

If you would like to help support our community, there are a number of ways you can make a tax-deductible donation, including a one-off donation, a gift in remembrance or in your will.

One time or recurring donation

Your donation will go towards supporting the loving and compassionate care of our older South Australians by Bene’s dedicated teams across residential care, home care and lifestyle and wellness.

Gift in remembrance

A gift made in memory honours a loved one and their life. Family and friends may wish to organise a funeral collection or dedicate a gold or silver leaf plaque on our beautiful Tree of Love to support the delivery of our high-quality aged care services.

Legacy giving

Leaving a gift in your will is a special way to ensure that your legacy lives on and helps others. Your gift will go towards areas of most need in enabling Bene to continue enhancing the lives of our ageing community.
