About the Role: Do you have a creative flair and enjoy socialising with the older community? A Lifestyle Social Support Volunteer supports our lifestyle teams to undertake a diverse range of activities to enhance social engagement and interaction. This may include playing cards, board games or taking on a new project under the direction of lifestyle staff. Projects range from gardening, cooking, crafts or peer to peer social support, perhaps finding a common interest between the consumer and yourself. This could be having a cup of tea and a chat, reading a book, taking a walk in the garden or listening to music. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the lives of our culturally diverse consumers in a truly vibrant and energetic care environment where you will be well supported in your role.
About You: You will be a committed and caring individual that displays empathy for the older members of our community. You will equally match our culture and values and will be willing to contribute your time, talents, skills and knowledge to assist us in creating unique experiences for our consumers. This volunteer role requires you to have:
- The ability to work positively within a team to achieve shared goals
- Strong customer service skills
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
