About the Role: A Volunteer Kitchen Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day duties in the kitchen. This position requires a reliable and passionate person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Duties include assisting with food preparation as directed by kitchen staff including washing, peeling, chopping and cutting of food, and helping to prepare salads and desserts. After meal preparation, cleaning kitchen areas and making sure equipment is stored appropriately is paramount. About You: You will be a committed and caring individual that displays empathy for the older members of our community. You will equally match our culture and values and will have a good work ethic and strong customer service practices. You will be a reliable and passionate person that enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and thrives in a team environment.This volunteer position requires you to have:

  • General knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices
  • National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
